NFL<\/a> free agency is still a month away, but players who were free agents at the end of the season, or practice squad players, are free to sign whenever they\u2019d like. Wide receiver Terrace Marshall<\/a> finished up the year on the practice squad for the Philadelphia Eagles<\/a>, but they decided against signing him to a Reserve\/Future contract.<\/p>\n Luckily, Marshall didn\u2019t have to wait too long to find a new team. The Miami Dolphins have decided to sign<\/a> the former second-round pick.<\/p>\n The last time Marshall was able to get the field for a team was with the Las Vegas Raiders<\/a>. He played for the team during the 2024 season. He had three catches in seven games.<\/p>\n Marshall was highly touted coming out of LSU, which led to him being a second-round pick of the Carolina Panthers<\/a> in 2021. He hasn\u2019t been able to live up to his draft status, but he\u2019s got good size and speed. He could make a case to earn a roster spot with the Dolphins this season.<\/p>\n Klint Kubiak Ready for Head Coaching Job<\/p>\n The Raiders are anxiously awaiting the Super Bowl to wrap up so that they can seal the deal with Seattle Seahawks<\/a> offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak. He\u2019s planning on taking the team\u2019s head coaching job, but he can\u2019t officially sign until after the season.<\/p>\n Sometimes coaching the Super Bowl can put candidates at a disadvantage. Clearly, helping a team get to the Super Bowl is the best way to show up coaching prowess, but Kubiak also hasn\u2019t been able to devote much time to the interview process.<\/p>\n However, he\u2019s been ready for this process since before the season.<\/p>\n \u201cYou get ready for those things in the summer, things that are important to you,\u201d Kubiak told reporters on Monday. \u201cAnd then, your resume is always on your film. That\u2019s something my dad always taught me \u2013 you better not be sitting in your office thinking about interview questions. You better be thinking about how to win the game because that\u2019s what it comes down to, is what the silent tape says.\u201d<\/p>\n Doesn\u2019t Sound Like Raiders Need to Worry<\/p>\n Kubiak has yet to address the reports of the Raiders hiring him. He\u2019s singularly focused on trying to help the Seahawks win the Super Bowl. That said, every indication has suggested that it\u2019s essentially a done deal.<\/p>\n Even Seahawks general manager John Schneider let it slip that Kubiak is taking the Raiders job. The most notable change of heart we\u2019ve seen in recent years was when Josh McDaniels decided to back out of taking the Indianapolis Colts<\/a> head coaching job. He suffered a major PR hit for that, so it\u2019s hard to imagine Kubiak would give the Raiders his word and then back out.<\/p>\n It\u2019s going to be difficult for the Raiders to fully relax until it\u2019s a done deal, but there doesn\u2019t seem to be any reason to worry.
