The Jaguars outgained the Chargers 345-135 with a 30-8 first-downs advantage. The Jaguars finished the game with a 37:55-22:05 time-of-possession advantage and held the Chargers without a touchdown, registering three sacks and an interception.
Key play: This game wasn’t as much about huge plays for the Jaguars as consistent running, dominant defense and impressive drives. One such drive spanned the third and fourth quarters. The Jaguars entered that stretch having scored touchdowns on back-to-back possessions and leading by 15 points. They took possession at their 24-yard line with a chance to effectively end the game. They responded by driving 76 yards on 16 plays, taking a 28-6 lead with 11:38 remaining when quarterback Trevor Lawrence passed one yard to wide receiver Tim Patrick.
Notable: The Jaguars entered the game having lost three of four games – and having lost a 19-point fourth-quarter lead in a road loss to the Houston Texans the week before.
Quoting Jaguars Head Coach Liam Coen: “We play better pissed off. We’ve talked about edge for a long time now. When we have an edge and we play as a team and it’s about the team all the time, good things happen typically for us. I am proud of the response, for sure.”
Quoting running back Bhayshul Tuten: “We just had to get the bad taste out of our mouth. We harped on it all week. Throughout the week, practice was quiet. A lot of people were locked in. A lot of people know what this game was for us. We had to get our mojo back and I feel like we definitely did today.”
Tracking the South: Indianapolis Colts (8-2), Jaguars (6-4), Houston Texans (5-5), Tennessee Titans (1-9).

JACKSONVILLE – Senior writer John Oehser examines the third quarter – Weeks 11-14 – of the Jaguars’ 2025…

[2060
7,130,212,125,2401,213,134,131,133,6
0":"post-729796","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-jacksonville-jaguars","8":"tag-football","9":"tag-front-page-headline","10":"tag-jacksonville","11":"tag-jacksonville-jaguars","12":"tag-jacksonvillejaguars","13":"tag-jaguars","14":"tag-john-oehser","15":"tag-news-front-page-headline","16":"tag-news-jaguars-news","17":"tag-nfl
["GET
