One of the top priorities for the Buffalo Bills<\/a> this offseason is adding more help at wide receiver.<\/p>\n

The Bills have done a miserable job at surrounding Josh Allen with weapons, with general manager Brandon Beane routinely striking out on free-agent signings and draft picks, like Joshua Palmer and Keon Coleman, for example.<\/p>\n

Beane can’t keep missing in the midst of a Super Bowl window, so that’s why he should be targeting a proven talent in free agency.<\/p>\n

There won’t be a ton available on the open market, but among the options could be Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/a> wide receiver Mike Evans, who FanSided’s Lou Scataglia<\/a> predicts will end up in Buffalo.<\/p>\n

Here’s Scataglia’s thoughts on an Evans-Bills pairing:<\/p>\n

Mike Evans is on the wrong side of 30 but is still a very talented player and a borderline Hall of Famer. He could fit with the Buffalo Bills for a year or two. Buffalo is another AFC team that needs more pass-catching help, but they don’t currently have a ton of cap space to spend and have some notable needs on defense.<\/p>\n

It’s almost impossible to envision Evans playing for another team, but that seems to be a real possibility in the minds of those in league circles, according to Essentially Sports’ Tony Pauline<\/a>, who even mentioned the Bills as a possible landing spot.<\/p>\n

“Those I\u2019ve spoken with over the past week believe it\u2019s less than 50-50 the veteran wideout re-signs with Tampa and that his career with the Buccaneers is likely finished,” Pauline said.<\/p>\n

“He\u2019d like to go to a contender and win another title,” Pauline added. “I figured the\u00a0New England Patriots<\/a>\u00a0would be a good fit, as Evans would be the final piece for their offense, yet people in the know believe the\u00a0Buffalo Bills\u00a0are the team likely to target the former All-Pro.”<\/p>\n

While Evans is long in the tooth and concerns about a decline are valid, he showed he still has some gas left in the tank last season and he would instantly be the Bills’ No. 1 wide receiver if the team doesn’t make a bigger addition.<\/p>\n

Evans shouldn’t be expensive, either, with the future Hall of Famer projected to cost<\/a> $26 million over two years, which is right up the Bills’ alley given their lackluster financial situation.<\/p>\n

The Bills should be an attractive destination for Evans, mostly because they’d give him a chance to win a Super Bowl.<\/p>\n

All that said, even if the Bills sign Evans, we still want to see more from Buffalo. At this stage in his career, Evans should be a complementary addition at wide receiver, not the main one.<\/p>\n
