The stark contrast between Monken\u2019s approach and former coach Kevin Stefanski\u2019s carefully controlled messaging was a major topic on the latest Orange and Brown Talk podcast<\/a>, with Browns beat reporter Mary Kay Cabot offering a blunt assessment of the previous regime\u2019s media philosophy.<\/p>\n

\u201cKevin was on a mission. Every single time he sat down at that microphone in front of us, his goal was to not create a headline,\u201d Cabot explained. \u201cHe wanted to keep the noise level very low coming from that chair. He was very flatlined sitting up there in that chair, as everybody knows, and it used to drive people crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n
