The Denver Broncos<\/a>, Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>, and Houston Texans<\/a> could be in the market for a running back this offseason, and there is a free agent at the position who should interest all three teams.<\/p>\n

FanSided’s Sayre Bedinger<\/a> lists the Broncos, Chiefs, and Texans as the best landing spots for New York Jets<\/a> running back Breece Hall in 2026 NFL free agency.<\/p>\n

Here is what Bedinger had to say about Hall and his standing in the free agency market:<\/p>\n

“If you’re looking for a running back in 2026 NFL free agency, you’re in luck. The 2024 class of free agent running backs (Derrick Henry, Josh Jacobs, Saquon Barkley, others) will probably not be topped anytime soon, but the 2026 class includes some big names set to hit the market, one of the biggest being New York Jets running back Breece Hall.”<\/p>\n

Hall is coming off one of his better seasons in 2025, as he tallied a career high 1,065 rushing yards on 4.4 yards per carry<\/a> and also had four touchdowns. The Iowa State product added 350 yards and a score through the air.<\/p>\n

It would be best for both Hall and the Jets to move on from each other, as the star running back has needed a fresh start, while New York is currently rebuilding and doesn’t need to give a running back a long-term deal right now.<\/p>\n

Denver, Kansas City, and Houston had ineffective rushing attacks in 2025, but that would change with the addition of Hall.<\/p>\n

As for the Broncos, Hall would form a nice duo in the backfield with RJ Harvey and give Sean Payton’s offense a more versatile offensive attack.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs have been interested in acquiring Hall since the trade deadline<\/a>, and they should have the opportunity to do so in free agency, though the franchise is in a horrible cap situation<\/a> and Hall is projected to land a $41 million contract over four seasons<\/a>, per Spotrac.<\/p>\n

Hall would be an electric fit in Andy Reid’s offense, and take some pressure off quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ shoulders as he battles back from a torn ACL.<\/a><\/p>\n

The Texans’ lack of a running game was one of the primary reasons for their demise in the postseason versus the New England Patriots<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hall would help solve that problem for Houston, and he would be a fantastic replacement for Joe Mixon, whose future with the Texans is in serious doubt after missing the entire year with a foot injury.<\/a><\/p>\n

Overall, Hall will have a competitive market with a ton of suitors. The Broncos, Chiefs, and Texans are logical landing spots, but we’ll see where the Jets’ free agent ends up in the spring.<\/p>\n
