Denver Broncos<\/a> outside linebacker Nik Bonitto posted a picture of himself in a hospital on his Instagram story with the caption “Cooked” on Thursday. Not to worry \u2014 the star pass rusher is okay.<\/p>\n

Bonitto underwent wrist surgery, according to a report from the Denver Post’s Luca Evans<\/a>. Bonitto suffered the injury when he slammed the ground following a 29-28 loss<\/a> to the Indianapolis Colts<\/a> in Week 2, and he played the rest of the season wearing a cast.<\/p>\n

Evans described the procedure as “simply a clean-up,” and Cody Roark of Mile High Sports tweeted that Bonitto “[s]hould be good<\/a> for offseason program,” which is set to begin in April.<\/p>\n

Despite playing with a cast, Bonitto recorded 14 sacks in 2025, earning an All-Pro nod<\/a> from the Pro Football Writers Association of America. Bonitto was also elected to the 2026 Pro Bowl by players, coaches and fans. The 26-year-old edge defender will now tackle rehab and prepare for his fifth season in the NFL.<\/p>\n
