Only, it isn\u2019t the one head coach John Harbaugh had anticipated bringing to New Jersey.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Harbaugh had hoped to add Todd Monken, his coordinator in Baltimore the last three seasons, in that role with the Giants. Monken, though, accepted the Cleveland Browns\u2019 head coaching job. Harbaugh filled that role by hiring former Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Roman coached with Harbaugh in Baltimore from 2017-2022, and was offensive coordinator from 2019-2022. Roman resigned after the 2022 season. He then spent 2024 and 2025 as Jim Harbaugh\u2019s offensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Chargers before being fired.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Roman had interviewed for the New York Jets offensive coordinator job that went to Frank Reich.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Roman began his NFL coaching career in 1995. His role with the Giants is still to be determined, but he is known for his work in the run game.
