SAN FRANCISCO \u2014 From his time as a ballboy in his youth, Dan Rooney<\/a> has been involved with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but the son of president Art Rooney II<\/a> has taken a bigger role in the team\u2019s off-the-field affairs over the last few years in his role as vice president of business development and strategy.<\/p>\n

That included the rousing success that was the Steelers\u2019 trip to Dublin, Ireland to play the Minnesota Vikings at Croke Park, and also the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft,<\/a> which Pittsburgh will host for the first time in the modern era.<\/p>\n

For the first time, the younger Rooney was also involved in the process as the Steelers made a transition at head coach this offseason, helping to hire new head coach Mike McCarthy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Dan Rooney sat down with Alan Saunders of Steelers Now at Super Bowl LX<\/a> in San Francisco to touch base on the excitement leading up to the 2026 NFL Draft, the Steelers\u2019 international future and more:<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
