The Green Bay Packers have played in just two international games in the franchise\u2019s history, first in London in 2022 and then in Brazil in 2024. It\u2019s no coincidence that both of those games took place when the team had 9 home games as part of the NFL\u2019s 17-game schedule, and recent reporting suggests that Green Bay will be doing so again in 2026.<\/p>\n
However, one bit of good news is that they will not be playing in Australia.<\/p>\n
That extraordinarily lengthy trip has been assigned to a pair of west coast teams instead, which makes a bit of sense since they can shave at least a couple of hours off the flights. The fact that it\u2019s a divisional game is an oddity, though: the Rams and 49ers will play only one of their two regular season games in 2026 in a home stadium, with Los Angeles giving up their home game for the long trip.<\/p>\n
Where might the Packers end up if they do head abroad? The easy answers are Germany or London, particularly with the NFL granting marketing rights to the Packers in those two countries. As usual, there will be three games in London this season, but the NFL will also have one in Munich.<\/p>\n
We do know that the Packers will not be headed back to Brazil. The Dallas Cowboys are playing there this season as the home team, and although Green Bay has a date with Dallas on the schedule for 2026, the Packers will be the home team for that game. In all likelihood, the Packers would play one of Atlanta, Carolina, Miami, or Houston if they do end up with a home game sent abroad.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s anybody\u2019s guess when all of those matchups will be announced, however. So for now, hang tight but keep an eye on the calendar and perhaps on some potential flights as well.<\/p>\n
