The future of Las Vegas Raiders<\/a>\u2018 Maxx Crosby has been a storyline throughout Super Bowl week. Crosby will be 29 when the 2026\u00a0NFL<\/a>\u00a0season starts, and this could be the last opportunity for the Silver and Black to receive the maximum value for him in a trade. <\/p>\n As a result, the Raiders need to ask themselves whether\u00a0the team\u2019s rebuild will be done\u00a0during Crosby\u2019s prime years or whether it\u2019s best to secure the draft picks.<\/p>\n One of the NFL insiders who added fuel to the Crosby rumors was The Athletic\u2019s Dianna Russini. She revealed<\/a> that the Raiders star would like to play for New England Patriots<\/a> head coach Mike Vrabel. On Feb. 6, Russini appeared on \u201cThe Herd,\u201d<\/a> and shared her thoughts on the Crosby situation.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m interested to see what the next move is,\u201d Russini said. \u201cDo I think Vegas is going to trade you right now? No way. Everybody wants Maxx Crosby on their team. I\u2019m just interested to see if they\u2019re going to allow Maxx Crosby to dictate what he wants to do next. We\u2019ll see what Maxx wants.\u201d <\/p>\n Moreover, Russini believes that his personal goals could be the driving force behind Crosby wanting out of Las Vegas, despite Crosby\u2019s desire to be a Raider for life. <\/p>\n \u201cI think everyone wants to know what is the future [for Crosby],\u201d Russini added. \u201cThis is a man that has said he wants to be a Raider for life. But this is also a man who\u2019s got goals, who wants a legacy, who wants a Super Bowl ring, who wants to be here playing this week. And he doesn\u2019t want to be going through turnover again and again.\u201d<\/p>\n Jay Glazer on Maxx Crosby\u2019s Future<\/p>\n FOX Sports NFL insider Jay Glazer\u00a0was one of the insiders to start the swirling Crosby rumors on Feb. 4. Glazer noted that Crosby could be on the trade market this offseason. In an\u00a0appearance with Yahoo Sports,<\/a>\u00a0Glazer explained how the Raiders made a mistake shutting down Crosby during the season. \u201cThere\u2019s a couple guys. They tell you they\u2019re playing, they\u2019re playing.\u201d<\/p>\n He\u00a0was then asked\u00a0if he believes Crosby\u2019s time with the Raiders\u00a0is done. \u201cI do. So the day it [shutting down Crosby] happened, no less than 20 teams called me, and asked, \u2018Is this real. Can we get him? \u2018\u201d<\/p>\n Moreover, Glazer then said that this is Crosby\u2019s decision, not the Raiders\u2019, on why\u00a0he\u2019s done\u00a0with the team. \u201cThey [Raiders] don\u2019t want to do it. But he was just like, \u2018I\u2019m not going through another rebuild. \u2018\u201d<\/p>\n Ashton Jeanty Wants Maxx Crosby to Stay With Raiders<\/p>\n Despite trade speculation involving Crosby, Raiders running back Ashton Jeany wants to see the veteran remain with the Silver and Black next season.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s the heart of the defense, so obviously making plays for us time after time, \u201d\u00a0Jeanty said during a Feb. 5 appearance on \u201cUp & Adams.\u201d<\/a>\u00a0\u201cWe would definitely, in my opinion, lose a lot if he were gone. He can\u2019t go. He\u2019s got to stay.\u201d<\/p>\n Moreover, Jeanty spoke about the impact Crosby has had on him since arriving in Las Vegas last year.<\/p>\n \u201cNo, I couldn\u2019t [imagine Crosby leaving the Raiders], \u201cJeanty added. \u201cHe\u2019s just a special player, man, and I think he\u2019s a special person, too. The energy and the mindset that he brings \u2014 he was one of the first people to text me when I got drafted.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ll never forget what he told me.
