The Indianapolis Colts<\/a> will have to fight to keep free agent wide receiver Alec Piece this offseason.<\/p>\n

Pierce is coming off a career year in 2025, and though the Colts should prioritize keeping the homegrown talent in Indianapolis, CBS Sports’ Jared Dubin<\/a> predicts the breakout receiver will land with the Buffalo Bills<\/a> in free agency.<\/p>\n

Here is what Dubin had to say about Pierce and his potential fit in Buffalo:<\/p>\n

“The Bills need to figure out who is going to be their big-bodied receiver. Joe Brady wants it to be Keon Coleman, apparently, but counting on him suddenly turning into a guy he hasn’t been during his career is foolish. Pierce could give them a premier perimeter deep threat that stretches the field for Khalil Shakir and Dalton Kincaid underneath and over the middle.”<\/p>\n

Pierce posted his first 1,000-yard campaign in 2025 and also had six touchdowns. The 25-year-old has led the league in yards per reception<\/a> in each of the last two seasons, showcasing his dynamic skillset and big-play ability.<\/p>\n

Josh Allen has never played with a true field-stretching receiver, outside of a season or two of solid production from Gabe Davis.<\/p>\n

Adding Pierce to the Bills’ offense would give Allen an electric deep threat who is only getting better and has a ton of juice.<\/p>\n

Additionally, a receiver duo of Pierce and Khalil Shakir would be the best of both worlds for Buffalo. Pierce’s speed, paired with Shakir’s savvy route running, is a combo that would work well.<\/p>\n

The Bills are slated to be $7 million under the cap<\/a>, but general manager Brandon Beane should be able to get that number up with a few roster moves.<\/p>\n

Pierce is projected to land an $80 million over four seasons, per Spotrac<\/a>. If Buffalo can find enough money to sign the ascending playmaker, they should do so to help out Allen, as he’s in the middle of his prime.<\/p>\n
