Longtime NFL coach Kliff Kingsbury has picked out his latest gig for the upcoming season.<\/p>\n

Kingsbury, the former head coach of the Arizona<\/a> Cardinals, will be joining the Los Angeles<\/a> Rams as a member of their offensive staff.<\/p>\n

After being fired from the Cardinals in 2022, Kingsbury spent time as an offensive analyst at USC and then as the offensive coordinator for the Washington Commanders<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kingsbury arrives with loads of experience throughout his time in football that spans as far back as 2008.<\/p>\n

Prior to that, Kingsbury was an NFL quarterback who was drafted by the New England Patriots<\/a> before joining the New Orleans<\/a> Saints, Denver Broncos<\/a>, New York Jets<\/a> and Buffalo Bills<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He also spent time with NFL Europe’s Cologne Centurions and the CFL’s Montreal Alouettes and Winnipeg Blue Bombers.<\/p>\n

Kingsbury previously spent four years as the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals<\/p>\n

Kingsbury then transitioned into coaching. After spending years at the University of Houston and Texas A&M before becoming the head coach at his alma mater, Texas Tech.<\/p>\n

There, he went a combined 35-40 across six seasons – coaching the likes of Baker Mayfield and Patrick Mahomes.<\/p>\n

After Texas Tech, Kingsbury joined the Cardinals. In four seasons, he went 28-37-1 and was fired following a 4-13 season in 2022.<\/p>\n

In that time, he only reached the playoffs once – falling in the NFC Wild Card round to the eventual Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Kingsbury’s return to the NFL came in 2024 with the Washington Commanders. He was instrumental in helping a rookie Jayden Daniels transition into the league.<\/p>\n

But this season was full of strife and injuries, de-railing Washington’s campaign and leading to Kingsbury’s eventual firing.<\/p>\n
