The Cowboys hit the offseason with two basic goals: improve on one of the NFL\u2019s worst defense while retaining one of its best offenses.<\/p>\n

When it comes to latter, the biggest piece in question is star wide receiver George Pickens<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Pickens is a pending free agent<\/a> after posting career highs in yards, receptions and touchdowns in his single season with the Cowboys. <\/p>\n

With a price range possibly in the $30 million range or more<\/a>, there\u2019s been a question about whether the Cowboys can afford to keep both Pickens and CeeDee Lamb in their receiver room, with Lamb\u2019s price tag at $38 million for next season.<\/p>\n

To Lamb\u2019s credit, he appears willing to help.<\/p>\n

While appearing on The Dan Patrick Show on Friday, the former Oklahoma Sooner was asked about whether his cohort and signature handshake partner<\/a> will be returning to Dallas in 2026.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe has no choice,\u201d Lamb told Patrick with a smile. \u201cI say that.\u201d<\/p>\n

After he and Pickens totaled over 2,500 receiving yards for the Cowboys\u2019 offense last season, Lamb said he\u2019d be willing to restructure his contract if it allows Dallas to keep Pickens and give him what Lamb says he deserves. <\/p>\n

\u201cI mean if it\u2019s necessary, honestly,\u201d Lamb said. \u201cI\u2019m pretty good but I know he\u2019s gonna get every penny that he deserves here in Dallas.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lamb told Patrick that he feels the Cowboys are \u201cvery close\u201d to getting back to a Super Bowl, with a need to just put some of the pieces together in 2026.<\/p>\n

Sounds like if you ask CeeDee, the puzzle won\u2019t fit together without Pickens.<\/p>\n
