(WIBW) &#8211; Former Chiefs linebacker Darron Lee has been arrested and taken into custody in Tennessee for allegedly murdering his girlfriend. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/share\/p\/1C6Bj7RTkq\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/share\/p\/1C6Bj7RTkq\/\">Hamilton County Sheriff\u2019s Office<\/a>, on Feb. 5, 2026, officers were dispatched to a residence to a CPR report. First responders discovered a female victim and attempted to save the woman\u2019s life. Officers discovered she had died. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Detectives indicated from preliminary findings that the woman\u2019s death was a result of a homicide. The victim\u2019s identity hasn\u2019t been released yet. No additional information has been provided. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Lee played with the Chiefs in 2019, the year they won Super Bowl LIV. He racked up 31 total tackles. He was drafted by the New York Jets with 20th pick in 2016 and played three seasons with the team, starting 36 games. <\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2026 WIBW.
