The Denver Broncos<\/a> were one win away from playing this weekend in Super Bowl LX, which would have completed a 10-year franchise arc of ownership change, coaching failures and quite possibly the worst trade in NFL history<\/a>.<\/p>\n However, they came up just short against the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game. In the conference title game, the Broncos<\/a> were missing a heavy hitter, which could have turned the tide against the Patriots: quarterback Bo Nix. The second-year QB was sidelined for the game due to a broken bone in his ankle<\/a> suffered during their divisional matchup against the Buffalo Bills<\/a>.<\/p>\n New England quarterback Drake Maye, who was drafted alongside Nix in 2024, had a classy response when asked about the Broncos<\/a> quarterback during Super Bowl media week.<\/p>\n “It’s unfortunate what happened to Bo,” said Maye. “What a player he is. What a season he had. Obviously an unfortunate ending, but I know he’ll be back.”<\/p>\n Maye looked to the future, where he and Nix will play against each other soon. “I know we’ll have some… battles down the road,” Maye said.<\/p>\n Need a news break?
