As George Pickens<\/a> looks at free agency this offseason, CeeDee Lamb<\/a> has made it clear he wants his fellow wide receiver back with the Dallas Cowboys in 2026. In fact, he\u2019s willing to take a major step to make it happen, if needed.<\/p>\n

Lamb told Dan Patrick would restructure his contract if it allowed the Cowboys to keep Pickens next season. He\u2019s entering the second year of a four-year, $136 million extension signed ahead of the 2024 campaign, which made him Dallas\u2019 second-highest paid player behind Dak Prescott<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Pickens could also be in line for a big payday after a monster year with the Cowboys in 2025. If it comes down to it, though, Lamb said he\u2019d be willing to do what it takes to keep him. In fact, he joked in his eyes, Pickens has \u201cno choice\u201d but to come back.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, if it\u2019s necessary. Honestly,\u201d Lamb said<\/a> when asked if he\u2019d be willing to defer money or restructure. \u201cI\u2019m pretty good, but I know he\u2019s going to get every penny he deserves here in Dallas.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pickens led Dallas with 93 receptions for 1,429 yards and nine touchdowns to earn a Second Team All-Pro selection. He put up those numbers in the final year of his rookie contract, which he signed with the Steelers in 2022. That means free agency is looming if Dallas doesn\u2019t come to a deal to keep him.<\/p>\n

Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones recently said the franchise \u201ccertainly<\/a>\u201d wants Pickens back next year. He said talks will take place with both him and running back\u00a0Javonte Williams<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously, there\u2019s guys that\u00a0we want to keep\u00a0from last year,\u201d Jones said,\u00a0via the\u00a0Fort Worth Star-Telegram\u2019s\u00a0Nick Harris<\/a>. \u201cWhether it\u2019s George Pickens or it\u2019s Javonte, those are all guys that play into the free agency picture. We\u2019ve got work to do on the defensive side of the ball. Whether that\u2019s through free agency or the draft, there\u2019s a lot of resources there that we can use to make our defense better.\u201d<\/p>\n

But to legendary Dallas running back Emmitt Smith, it shouldn\u2019t even be a question<\/a>. He thinks Pickens should be the Cowboys\u2019 top priority as the go through the offseason.<\/p>\n

\u201cHell yeah. Oh yeah. That would be one of the first things I\u2019d do,\u201d Smith said Friday on First Take. \u201cBecause that\u2019s one way to keep it silent (this offseason), instead of having this fanfare and this dude (Stephen A.
