The Seahawks do present a solid potential alternative.<\/p>\nWe also asked about whether or not you, as a Vikings fan, would be happy for Sam Darnold if the Seahawks should come out with the victory tomorrow, given Darnold\u2019s history with the Vikings. There\u2019s a pretty solid majority answer to this question as well.<\/p>\n

Well, put me in the minority, I guess. Nothing personal against Darnold per se, honestly, although I wish he had managed to find a way to not be awful when he could have taken the Vikings on a playoff run last year. It\u2019s just that, quite frankly, I don\u2019t care when former Vikings go on to have this level of success with teams that aren\u2019t the Vikings. If the Patriots win, I\u2019m not going to care that Stefon Diggs or Garrett Bradbury are getting a championship, and I wasn\u2019t particularly moved when Percy Harvin, Sidney Rice, and Tarvaris Jackson (RIP) got rings the last time the Seahawks won a Super Bowl, either.<\/p>\n
There\u2019s one team\u2019s players I get happy for. Unfortunately, that team isn\u2019t playing tomorrow. That team hasn\u2019t played in a Super Bowl since I was three months old, and they didn\u2019t win that one either. And if only being happy or caring about one team winning makes me a bad person or a bad fan. . .well, I guess I\u2019m just a bad person or a bad fan. I can live with that.<\/p>\n
