NFL fans are gearing up for the league’s biggest game of the year: the Super Bowl<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The American tradition filled with food, quirky commercials and a\u00a0star-studded halftime show<\/a>\u00a0takes place in February. This year, the\u00a0New England Patriots<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Seattle Seahawks<\/a> will face off in Super Bowl 60 on Sunday, Feb. 8.<\/p>\n

While all eyes are on this year’s Super Bowl, we’re looking ahead to next year when the big game falls on a special holiday. Here’s what to know about the 2027 Super Bowl.<\/p>\n

When is the 2027 Super Bowl?<\/p>\n

For some couples, the 2027 Super Bowl couldn’t have fallen on a worse date: Feb. 14.<\/p>\n

That’s right, the Super Bowl LXI will be played on Valentine’s Day<\/a> 2027. The Super Bowl takes place the second Sunday in February, as it has since the league shifted to a 17-game schedule in the 2021 NFL season.<\/p>\n

Where will the 2027 Super Bowl be played?<\/p>\n

The 2027 Super Bowl will once again be played at SoFi Stadium, the home of the Los Angeles Rams<\/a> and Los Angeles Chargers in Inglewood, California. The stadium, which opened in 2020, hosted Super Bowl LVI<\/a> on Feb. 13, 2022, when the Rams took down the Cincinnati Bengals<\/a> 23-20.<\/p>\n

Where has the Super Bowl been held recently?<\/p>\n

Since the most recent Super Bowl at Levi’s Stadium in 2016, the Super Bowl has been held in the following locations:<\/p>\n

2018: Minneapolis, Minnesota.<\/p>\n

2020: Miami Gardens, Florida.<\/p>\n

2022: Inglewood, California.<\/p>\n

2025: New Orleans, Louisiana.<\/p>\n

2026: Santa Clara, California.<\/p>\n
