The Athletic has live coverage of the Super Bowl LX halftime show featuring Bad Bunny.<\/a><\/p>\n

In the aftermath of every Super Bowl, we talk about the game and the halftime show, but we\u2019re also eager to discuss the commercials. Even if some people just love to hate them \u2014 because nothing compares to the commercials from \u201cback in my day\u201d \u2014 we\u2019ll relive all the hits and misses.<\/p>\n

While we went through a rough stretch of Super Bowl commercials in the late 2010s, the past few years have seen a rebound. There have been some truly memorable and funny ones, and 2026 includes a few new spots worth talking about at the water cooler even before the big game.<\/p>\n

A couple of quick notes:<\/p>\n

I skip most of the (non-funny) car commercials, banking, and such.
\nThe same goes for movie trailers, since they\u2019re a world of their own.
\nThis column will be updated throughout Sunday night, as more commercials are aired.<\/p>\n

And now, the \u2026 Best 2026 Super Bowl commercials \u2026 and worst<\/p>\n

Best Super Bowl Commercials 2026<\/p>\n

1. DoorDash: Beef 101 with 50 Cent<\/p>\n

Oh man, kudos to DoorDash and 50 Cent for killing it \u2026 and the jokes. \u201cThey sell \u2018combs,\u2019 what a coincidence?\u201d<\/p>\n

2. Novartis: Relax Your Tight End<\/p>\n

Not the first, and surprisingly, not the last butt-related commercial this year. Love the word play. It\u2019s not just humorous, it\u2019s genuinely helpful. The men are going to be truly happy to see this commercial \u2026 regardless of the NFL tight ends.<\/p>\n

3. Raisin Bran: Will Shat<\/p>\n

Everyone \u2014 with a sense of humor \u2014 laughs at poop and fart jokes, even William Shatner\u2026 sorry, Will Shat. The puns drop in (intended) aplenty.<\/p>\n

4. Hellmann\u2019s: Sweet Sandwich Time<\/p>\n

Maybe it\u2019s because the wife and I are rewatching Brooklyn Nine-Nine, or maybe it\u2019s just the song and fun of this one, but I\u2019ll remember the Hellmann\u2019s commercial for quite a few sweet sandwich times.<\/p>\n

5. Instacart: For Papa! Instacart<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not just the throwback picture quality of this that makes it great. It\u2019s Ben Stiller absolutely killing it \u2026 and nearly himself. For Papa!<\/p>\n

6. Jeep: Billy Bass Goes to the River<\/p>\n

As mentioned, I don\u2019t normally include car commercials, but this was pretty dang funny \u2026 especially as someone who can\u2019t stand Billy Bass and wants them destroyed.<\/p>\n

7. Bud Light: Keg<\/p>\n

Always amusing to see people falling downhill while racing each other, but the real-life cheese-roll race<\/a> has real stakes.<\/p>\n

8. Xfinity: Jurassic Park \u2026 Works<\/p>\n

It\u2019s 2026, and while this is a fun callback with some chuckles, it\u2019s crazy that CGI de-aging is still so uncanny valley.<\/p>\n

9. Michelob UTLRA: The ULTRA Instructor<\/p>\n

\u201cEye of the Tiger\u201d with Kurt Russell chopping trees with a ski. Will be memorable at least.<\/p>\n

10. Alexa: Scary Good<\/p>\n

Kinda funny because it\u2019s legitimately our fears with AI \u2026 so, maybe not so funny?<\/p>\n

Just Missed<\/p>\n

T-Mobile: Tell Me Why<\/p>\n

Funnier as it went along, the song is now stuck in our heads, and MGK stinger was a good laugh.<\/p>\n

Skittles: Deliver the Rainbow<\/p>\n

Who is Elijah Wood? Apparently, a Skittles-producing woodland creature who is summoned by blowing his stolen rainbow horn.<\/p>\n

Frank\u2019s RedHot: Eat the GOAT<\/p>\n

This commercial felt like an ADHD nightmare waiting and waiting, and still waiting, for the song to get going. It did make me chuckle, though.<\/p>\n

Uber Eats: Jogging<\/p>\n

Uber Eats is going quantity over quality, but at least this one made me laugh a bit, unlike the others here<\/a>, here<\/a> and here<\/a>! Relax, Uber Eats.<\/p>\n

Other Fun Commercials<\/p>\n

Ramp: Multiply What\u2019s Possible<\/p>\n

Come Monday, everyone will say, \u201cDid you see the Kevin Malone commercial?\u201d followed by, \u201cI still don\u2019t know what it was for!\u201d<\/p>\n

Kinder Bueno: Yes, Bueno<\/p>\n

Fanatics: Bet on Kendall<\/p>\n

I mean, it\u2019s not untrue that betting against Kendall\u2019s love life might be more predictable than sports in general.<\/p>\n

YouTube TV: Don\u2019t Settle for Meh<\/p>\n

Christian MEH-Caffrey is what fantasy football managers are hoping doesn\u2019t return in 2026.<\/p>\n

Rippling: Tim Robinson<\/p>\n

I enjoy some of his work, but I might be missing the joke here.<\/p>\n

State Farm: Stop Livin\u2019 on a Prayer<\/p>\n

Maybe the Super Bowl version will be better, but this was grin-inducing, but also felt like it was trying too hard.<\/p>\n

eos: Is It Pistachio<\/p>\n

It\u2019s funny because Mikey Day might commit murder?<\/p>\n

Bosch: Just a \u2026 Guy<\/p>\n

The dog is the only thing worth it here.<\/p>\n

Artlist: AI Toolkit<\/p>\n

AI is taking over.<\/p>\n

Claude<\/p>\n

AI again, but promising better answers and no ads \u2026 ironic.<\/p>\n

Pepsi: The Choice<\/p>\n

Eh, I thought the Andy Byron\/Coldplay memes and jokes were done \u2026 since they\u2019re well past their shelf life.<\/p>\n

Mentioning because I have dogs, and \u201cWho Let the Dogs Out?\u201d<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t love these like the originals, but like the commercial even less.<\/p>\n

If there is anything worse than Yelp! it\u2019s the influencers and their food videos. We don\u2019t need more of it!<\/p>\n

TurboTax: The Expert<\/p>\n

The joke is supposed to be that TurboTax makes taxes not bad \u2026 but they were correct from the start \u2026 they\u2019re worse than death.<\/p>\n

e.l.f.: Melisa<\/p>\n

Kept waiting for it to be funny. Still waiting.<\/p>\n

Manscaped: Hair Ballad<\/p>\n

Singing balls of hair. Gross.<\/p>\n

OIKOS: The Big Hill<\/p>\n

Is it supposed to be funny? Is it tongue-in-cheek suggesting OIKOS makes you stronger?<\/p>\n

Only thing worse than this commercial trying to repeat the joke was having to watch it multiple times too.<\/p>\n

Hims and Hers: Rich People Live Longer<\/p>\n

Sure, it\u2019s great to get health supplements without an exorbitant cost, but I don\u2019t think this landed.<\/p>\n

SKECHERS: Kick Off<\/p>\n

Meh.<\/p>\n

Grubhub: The Feest<\/p>\n

Kudos to Grubhub, but George Clooney didn\u2019t add anything, and we all know \u201cno fees\u201d probably means it\u2019s just built into the price markups.<\/p>\n

Tree Hut: Uncontain Yourself<\/p>\n
