ROCKFORD, Ill. \u2014 Two NFL legends and Super Bowl champions were under one roof in Rockford on Sunday night, bringing one of football\u2019s oldest rivalries to the Hard Rock Casino.<\/p>\n
Chicago Bears Hall of Famer Dan Hampton and former Green Bay Packers standout Frank Winters attened the Hard Rock Casino Super Bowl Watch Party, drawing fans from both sides of the historic Bears\u2013Packers divide.<\/p>\n
The rivalry between Chicago and Green Bay is one of the longest-running in NFL history.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Hampton was part of the legendary 1985 Chicago Bears team that secured a Super Bowl title, while Winters helped lead the Packers to a championship during his career in Green Bay.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s the oldest rivalry in the NFL, and it looks like this tradition is going to continue for years on,\u201d Winters said. \u201cPlaying in the NFC North is a tough division, and you\u2019ve got to bring your game every week.”\u00a0<\/p>\n
Hampton didn\u2019t hold back when discussing the Bears\u2019 current outlook.<\/p>\n
\u201cGuess what? The Bears are back on top of the NFC North,\u201d Hampton said. \u201cAll the other teams have a lot of issues. Right now, the Bears are in the driver\u2019s seat. Nobody really saw that coming.\u201d<\/p>\n
