SANTA CLARA — For the second time in franchise history, the Seattle Seahawks<\/a> are Super Bowl champions.<\/p>\n

Led by their defense and Super Bowl MVP running back Kenneth Walker III<\/a>, the Seahawks stymied the New England Patriots<\/a> 29-13<\/a> in Super Bowl LX. Nicknamed the “Dark Side,” the Seahawks’ defense wreaked havoc on regular-season MVP runner-up quarterback Drake Maye<\/a>, sacking him six times and forcing him to turn the ball over three times.<\/p>\n

Seattle linebacker Derick Hall<\/a> forced the first turnover of the game — his first since 2024 — in the third quarter with a strip sack. In the fourth quarter, linebacker Uchenna Nwosu<\/a> and safety Julian Love<\/a> each snagged interceptions for the Seahawks.<\/p>\n

The Patriots were held scoreless until Maye found wide receiver Mack Hollins<\/a> for a 35-yard touchdown to cut the lead to 19-7 with 12:27 remaining. But thanks to those back-to-back interceptions on the Patriots’ next series, New England didn’t get any closer.<\/p>\n

Walker paced Seattle’s offense with 135 rushing yards, averaging 5.0 yards per carry. And Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold<\/a>, a first-round-pick-turned-journeyman, had a turnover-free game and competed 19 of 38 passes for 202 yards and a touchdown.<\/p>\n
