The Denver Broncos<\/a> might still be processing their heartbreaking loss in a Denver snowstorm<\/a> in this season’s AFC title game. Truthfully, they might not yet be ready to handle this and move on in a healthy way. That’s at least according to the reaction of one of their star players to the New England Patriots’ dreadful loss in Super Bowl 60<\/a>.<\/p>\n After the Seattle Seahawks<\/a> stuffed Drake Maye and the Patriots’ offense<\/a> into a locker in a decisive 29-13 win, Surtain posted a curious “thinking” emoji. Hmm. The assumption is that the 2024 Defensive Player of the Year was making an apparent reference to the Broncos missing a genuine Super Bowl opportunity, especially at the hands of this New England team, and thanks to Bo Nix’s season-ending ankle injury, inclement weather, and good old-fashioned bad luck.<\/p>\n Honestly, it’s only been a few weeks after what was undoubtedly one of the worst losses of Surtain’s career. I don’t blame him for seemingly still feeling this way. It’s too soon. Plus, I bet a great player like him will try to use it as motivation for himself and a Broncos team that ultimately fell short of a magical season, but probably isn’t going anywhere. And they’ll likely see the Patriots<\/a> again, too.<\/p>\n That is, if Surtain’s reaction to Super Bowl 60 says anything, anyway.<\/p>\n
