First, he notes that punter Sam Martin and long snapper JJ Jansen are among the players they&#8217;d &#8220;like to have back.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Martin, who <a href=\"http:\/\/pantherswire.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/nfl\/panthers\/2025\/03\/11\/nfl-free-agency-carolina-panthers-starting-over-at-punter-with-sam-martin\/82281809007\/\" data-t-l=\":b|e|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">signed over<\/a> from the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/sportsdata.usatoday.com\/football\/nfl\/teams\/buffalo-bills\/324\" data-autotag=\"1082767b-7fb4-4f44-b217-cdba2c3895e9\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-t-l=\":b|e|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\">Buffalo Bills<\/a> last offseason, just finished up his first campaign in Carolina. He ranked 22nd in net yardage per attempt (40.5) and ninth in punts downed inside the 20-yard line (27).<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Jansen, meanwhile, is fresh off his 17th season with the organization. The former Pro Bowler turned 40 years old on Jan. 20.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Person later goes on to add that the Panthers could look to lock down homegrown center Cade Mays and re-sign inside linebacker Christian Rozeboom, but with a bit of a caveat.
