{"id":741868,"date":"2026-02-10T05:50:29","date_gmt":"2026-02-10T05:50:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/741868\/"},"modified":"2026-02-10T05:50:29","modified_gmt":"2026-02-10T05:50:29","slug":"seahawks-found-patriots-tell-that-fueled-super-bowl-2026-domination","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/741868\/","title":{"rendered":"Seahawks found Patriots &#8216;tell&#8217; that fueled Super Bowl 2026 domination"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Seahawks found a \u201ctell\u201d in the Patriots\u2019 offensive line and they exploited it, cornerback Devon Witherspoon explained to SiriusXM Radio after Seattle <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/02\/08\/sports\/seahawks-dominate-drake-maye-patriots-to-win-super-bowl-2026\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">defeated New England in Super Bowl 2026<\/a> on Sunday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>While Witherspoon didn\u2019t reveal what the tell was, it made a difference as the Seahawks<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/02\/08\/sports\/the-seahawks-may-have-turned-drake-maye-into-a-cautionary-tale\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> put the pressure on Pats quarterback Drake Maye<\/a>, sacking him six times and picking him off twice.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey asked a lot of questions before this game. And I told them I can\u2019t lay the game plan out to the media, but I kind of knew what was going on,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SiriusXMNFL\/status\/2020965933360283980\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Witherspoon said<\/a>. \u201cWe had a good tell on what they like to do, how they like to play, and how they were going to attack us. You\u2019re talking about a coach who put us in the best position to win, that\u2019s our coach right there, and that\u2019s why we always have his back.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe had a tell on their guards and their tackles, how they like to set. AP<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe will game-plan up until whenever,\u201d said Leonard Williams, who played for the Jets and the Giants before Big Blue traded him to Seattle in 2023.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ll sometimes put a new play in Saturday morning. We\u2019ll sometimes put a new play in Sunday at halftime. DeMarcus Lawrence says you have to have a Harvard education to play in this defense because you\u2019re just constantly learning new stuff.
