The Browns have some control here, in that they have a year left on their now-former DC’s contract, and hold an option on him for 2027. The Raiders have sniffed around, which would give Las Vegas coach-to-be Klint Kubiak an experienced hand in the way that Wade Phillips once did Sean McVay with the Rams. At this point, I’d say it’s less likely he goes there. What could be more likely is that he sits out a year, with an eye on going to Philadelphia if Vic Fangio retires after the 2026 season. Eagles GM Howie Roseman has always been a fan of Schwartz, who won a ring in Philly in 2017.

Seahawks’ title underscores how to win in the modern NFL. That is not going to happen now, but Schwartz could make sense for the Eagles in the future. Schwartz resigned from the Browns after the team hired Todd Monken over Schwartz for the head-coaching job. He remains under contract to the Browns and could theoretically be acquired by trade, but it’s not clear there would be any obvious landing spots right now. He was the Eagles’ defensive coordinator from 2016 to ‘20 and would be a logical candidate for them if the timing aligned in the future.

NFL Mock Draft Monday: 3 players who fit profiles the Eagles have liked in the past – BGN
The Super Bowl is over, in case you slept through it. He and offensive coordinator Sean Mannion crossed paths in Minnesota. Mannion was on the practice squad for six weeks in 2023 while Kuper was the OL coach. Josh Grizzard worked with Kuper for two years in Miami. That’s a good start, but it is still fair to question if Kuper is a good OL coach. That’s where things get complicated. He helped Christian Darrisaw develop into one of the best LTs in the league. Darrisaw was a first round pick and has played like it. RT Brian O’Neill started four years before Kuper arrived. He made one Pro Bowl in their time together. Minnesota spent high picks on center Garrett Bradbury and guards Ed Ingram and Ezra Cleveland. Bradbury and Cleveland were drafted before Kuper came on board, but he coached all three of them. They were disappointing as Vikings. Making matters worse, all three have played better since leaving Minnesota. Not ideal.

Why it’s significant Eagles are letting Sean Mannion hire his own staff – NBCSP
If you’re looking into the future, you might already spot a problem with this setup. Because what happens if Mannion succeeds to the point where another team hires him away as a head coach and then you have to start this process all over again? It’s possible. But the Eagles very clearly were not going to fire Sirianni a year removed from winning the Super Bowl. Sirianni hasn’t called plays since the 2021 season and if you watched the Eagles in 2025, it was pretty obvious they needed a massive change on the offensive side of the ball. That’s what we’re seeing this offseason as the Eagles give Mannion a ton of power.

Sean Mannion once helped Drew Lock beat the Eagles. More of the same. Low-cost free agents will be on their shopping list, but expect them to snag a few who played for one of the many new coaches on the staff. To fix the defense, it will take better talent, but it will also take guys who can confidently follow the scheme of the new defense. And speaking of better talent, those two first-round draft picks will clearly be the most critical dancing chips for the new staff. Between a couple of high-upside youngsters and a handful of low-cost veteran free agents, Parker and his staff should have something to work with.

Revisiting the Laremy Tunsil trade after his first season with the Washington Commanders – Hogs Haven
Paying a player at the top of the scale is always significant, but Washington has the cap space necessary to mitigate impacts to the roster long term. A similar tackle acquired in free agency would demand an equivalent investment, if one was even available to sign. Ideally, Adam Peters would have drafted a younger version of Tunsil in the draft and may have done so with the selection of Josh Conerly Jr., but rookie development takes time, and while having two bookend tackles may have been considered a luxury at one point, in today’s NFL it is more of a requirement. For a team largely bereft of elite talent, the trade for Laremy Tunsil was a key move in elevating the franchise’s long-term prospects, and, based on Tunsil’s 2025 performance and expected ‘26 offseason extension, a clear win for Adam Peters.

NY Giants interviewing ex-Tennessee Titans head coach for QB coach role – Big Blue View
The New York Giants are interviewing former Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan for their vacant quarterbacks coach position, per a report from NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo.
