Normally, the day players clean out their lockers at the end of an NFL season can be a somber one. Perhaps that team just lost a playoff game in heartbreaking fashion, or just finished off a regular season that fell short of expectations.<\/p>\n
But on Tuesday at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center, there was a sense of anticipation, not sadness, in the Seahawks locker room. Yes, players are looking ahead to 2026 and continued success, but in a more immediate sense, they’re anticipating the party that’s going to take place in Seattle on Wednesday as the Seahawks and fans get together to celebrate their Super Bowl LX victory over the Patriots.<\/p>\n
The day’s festivities will kick off with a sold-out trophy celebration at Lumen Field, then continue with a World Champions Parade that will begin at 11 a.m., heading north on 4th Avenue.<\/p>\n
“I’m excited,” said safety Julian Love, who had an interception in Sunday’s win over the Patriots, one of three takeaways for Seattle’s defense. “I’ve dreamed about a Super Bowl parade, it’s crazy. It goes hand-in-hand with the confetti falling and holding the trophy. Especially in Seattle, with these fans, they’ve been with us this entire ride, through the ups and downs, the support has been crazy\u2026 They show up, it’s always positive, it’s always love, so tomorrow’s going to be crazy.”<\/p>\n
Cornerback Riq Woolen called a Super Bowl parade, “something I’ve dreamed about,” ever since he saw a picture of the parade that followed Seattle’s Super Bowl XLVIII victory twelve years ago.<\/p>\n
“It looked so crazy, to be able to be in one now, oh, I know it’s going to be so lit,” Woolen said. “I think they said a million people or something like that. I’m ready to see it, man, it’s so crazy. Seattle is a lovely city, and the fans here, they deserve it, the people here, they deserve it, and just the whole state of Washington, they deserve it as well. If y’all are coming, pull up, it’s going to be fun.”<\/p>\n
