The Pittsburgh Steelers<\/a>, Cleveland Browns<\/a> and Miami Dolphins<\/a> could all be in the market for a quarterback in 2026.<\/p>\n

The Steelers still don’t have an answer from Aaron Rodgers and will likely bring in a veteran signal-caller if he doesn’t return, as Will Howard remains unproven and Mason Rudolph is not a starting-caliber player.<\/p>\n

The Browns have Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders under contract, but with a new head coach in Todd Monken<\/a> in town, a change under center is a possibility.<\/p>\n

Miami is expected to explore trading Tua Tagovailoa<\/a>, and given the fact that Tua himself said he wouldn’t mind a fresh start<\/a>, a change is likely there.<\/p>\n

One of the most coveted quarterbacks set to hit the open market will be Green Bay Packers<\/a> signal-caller Malik Willis, who revived his career over the past two years after looking like a bust during his days with the Tennessee Titans<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to SportsBoom’s Jason La Canfora<\/a>, the Steelers, Dolphins and Browns all have interest in the former third-round pick.<\/p>\n

La Canfora is also hearing Willis could garner a deal similar to Justin Fields’, which was for two years and $40 million, with $30 million guaranteed.<\/p>\n

“Teams including the Steelers, Browns, and Dolphins are interested [in Willis],” the NFL insider reported. “Speculation suggests a deal similar to Justin Fields’ could be on the cards.”<\/p>\n

La Canfora added that he’s hearing the Browns are the favorite to land Willis, and an unnamed general manager agreed with Cleveland while also naming the Dolphins as another potential favorite.<\/p>\n

“Favorite landing spot is the Cleveland Browns,” La Canfora said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hear the same thing you do, about Miami and Cleveland,\u201d the general manager told La Canfora.<\/p>\n

The strongest connection Willis has among those three teams is with the Dolphins, who hired two former Packers for their general manager and head coach jobs, Jon-Eric Sullivan and Jeff Hafley, respectively.<\/p>\n

Knowing that, and the Dolphins’ need at quarterback, we believe Miami is the most likely landing spot for the 26-year-old.<\/p>\n

If Willis has to choose between those three teams and is looking for the best chance to win now, the Steelers would be far and away his best bet after Pittsburgh made the postseason in 2026.<\/p>\n

Willis would check two massive boxes for the Steelers. Not only would he give the team a starting quarterback in 2026, but he could be the long-coveted long-term option the Steelers have been looking for under center.<\/p>\n

That said, Willis will not be an option if Rodgers returns.<\/p>\n

Watching the market develop for Willis will be one of the more interesting things to see this offseason,. and we would expect that market to include the Steelers (if Rodgers doesn’t return), Browns and Dolphins.<\/p>\n
