Some fans told KOMO News they are skipping work and school to attend the celebration, which will stretch two miles through the heart of the city. With just hours to go before the event, Seahawks faithful said they are feeling sentimental.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy heart\u2019s beating super fast. I can\u2019t even get over it,\u201d Hall Group owner Gary Szeredy said. \u201cI remember the Super Bowl back then, and it\u2019s even better now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe first season the Seahawks played, my mother was pregnant with me,\u201d Eric Bouwcamp said. \u201cI will never, ever lose my fandom for the Seahawks. The procession will travel along Fourth Avenue on the two-mile stretch between South Washington Street and Cedar Street.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m taking him to Lumen Field so we can see the trophy presentation, and then we\u2019re going to hang out around here because I don\u2019t think we\u2019re going to do well in all the crowds,\u201d Sztubinski said.<\/p>\n<p>Szeredy said his two sports bars are preparing for an influx of customers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re going to open here at Occidental Hall at 7:30 in the morning. We\u2019re going to have a big breakfast burrito tent outside. We\u2019re going to have a merch tent. Seafood restaurant Shuckers is opening for lunch for the first time since the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for us to bring that extra energy to the city, especially after the pandemic,\u201d Fairmont Olympic Hotel General Manager Sunny Joseph told KOMO News. \u201cIt\u2019s a desperately needed time for us to have this event happen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo just have that many people in this area and have everyone smiling and happy \u2014 that\u2019s what it is,\u201d Szeredy said. \u201cGo, \u2019Hawks!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo parking\u201d signs along Fourth Avenue take effect at 1 a.m. Wednesday, and the road will close by 6:30 a.m. Law enforcement and city officials are encouraging attendees to walk or take public transit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Seattle Seahawks are expected to draw what could be the largest parade crowd in city history.
