Pennsylvania native and former Los Angeles Chargers second-round pick Nasir Adderley is ready to return to the NFL.<\/p>\n

The defensive back announced on Monday<\/a> that he wants to return to the National Football League after taking a three-year break.<\/p>\n

Adderley abruptly retired from football in March of 2023, when he was only 25 years old.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s now been three years since I left the NFL, and I am extremely happy with my development,\u201d Nasir Adderley said. \u201cHealth, family and entrepreneurship were my top priorities, and I\u2019m proud of what I\u2019ve been able to accomplish.”<\/p>\n

Adderley spent four years with the Chargers before retiring.<\/p>\n

He appeared in 50 games and made 44 starts across those four seasons in the NFL<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe freedom to manage my own schedule was very important to me, but what I didn\u2019t realize was how much I\u2019d miss having football in my life. The competition, the brotherhood, and just being involved in the game that means so much to me and my family.<\/p>\n

\u201cTherefore, I am officially announcing my intention to return to the NFL.”<\/p>\n

Adderley started 15 of 16 games for the Chargers the year before he retired, recording 62 tackles, two interceptions and a forced fumble. <\/p>\n
