McCoy will be the assistant head coach, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TomPelissero\/status\/2022036457763090580\" rel=\"nofollow\">according to Tom Pelissero<\/a>. It\u2019s a smart move for a rookie head coach like Kubiak to hire a veteran like McCoy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">While none of us wanted McCoy to be the head coach here, I think he ended up doing a pretty good job as the interim head coach of the Tennessee Titans. Cam Ward definitely showed growth with McCoy at the helm that he wasn\u2019t showing under Brian Callahan. That was the head coach\u2019s most important job last season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">The Raiders are McCoy\u2019s seventh stop as an NFL coach. It\u2019s unlikely that he will ever get another head coaching job, but it\u2019s pretty obvious at this point that people around the league value his experience.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">He will be tasked with helping to develop another young quarterback with the Raiders.
