{"id":748609,"date":"2026-02-13T06:17:11","date_gmt":"2026-02-13T06:17:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/748609\/"},"modified":"2026-02-13T06:17:11","modified_gmt":"2026-02-13T06:17:11","slug":"49ers-wr-brandon-aiyuk-predicted-to-land-with-chargers-in-free-agency","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/748609\/","title":{"rendered":"49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk predicted to land with Chargers in free agency"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Feb. 12, 2026, 9:15 p.m. PT<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">The <a href=\"\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-t-l=\":b|e|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\">San Francisco 49ers<\/a> never got the opportunity to see what their 2025 offense looked like with Brandon Aiyuk lining up at wide receiver, as the 27-year-old began the year on the PUP list due to his injury and later completely left the team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">As a result of his actions, the 49ers voided Aiyuk&#8217;s guarantees and have indicated that they will look to move on from the wide receiver before the start of the 2026 season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">If Aiyuk is released, there were certainly be teams interested in him, despite the last year of private and public issues between the former first-round pick and the team that brought him into the NFL.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Earlier this week, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/news\/ten-crazy-2026-nfl-offseason-predictions-justin-jefferson-traded-to-bills-two-new-rule-changes-and-more\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" data-t-l=\":b|z|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\">CBS Sports&#8217; Jordan Dajani published<\/a> his list of &#8220;crazy 2026 NFL offseason predictions,&#8221; which included Aiyuk finding a new team in free agency.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">&#8220;The\u00a0Los Angeles Chargers\u00a0are undergoing a change in offensive philosophy in swapping Greg Roman for Mike McDaniel at coordinator,&#8221; Dajani wrote. &#8220;It&#8217;s clear that the Chargers need to upgrade the depth on the offensive line, but they could be in the market for a new weapon, too.
