The Cleveland Browns<\/a> have been hard at work over the past week looking for a new defensive coordinator after Jim Schwartz resigned. They’re turning over every rock, meeting with a ton of assistants<\/a>, trying to find the right guy to run Todd Monken’s defense.<\/p>\n

You can add another potential candidate to the list as Mary Kay Cabot reports<\/a> the team has requested an interview with Houston Texans<\/a> defensive pass game coordinator Cory Undlin. The veteran coach brings a ton of experience to the table. He has been a coach in the NFL since 2004 and even coached for the Browns<\/a> from 2005 until 2008.<\/p>\n

He has one year of experience as a defensive coordinator with the Detroit Lions<\/a> in 2020. He’s been the Texans’ defensive passing game coordinator since 2023. Undlin has spent a lot of time coaching defensive backs in the NFL at multiple stops, including Philadelphia, Denver, and Jacksonville.<\/p>\n
