Bad Bunny\u2019s Super Bowl halftime show drew a record 135.4 million viewers on Sunday, but not everyone enjoyed it.<\/p>\n
Rep. Mark Alford, a Republican from Missouri, told Fox News that Bad Bunny\u2019s halftime show is currently under investigation, claiming without evidence that the Puerto Rican superstar used explicit language during his performance.<\/p>\n
Bad Bunny\u2019s performance triggered the MAGA right to the point that Turning Point USA held its own \u201cAll-American Halftime Show\u201d during which Kid Rock was shown lip-syncing (for which he later gave an explanation<\/a>).<\/p>\n Alford conceded that he does not speak Spanish, but said \u201ca lot of information\u201d has \u201ccome out\u201d about Bad Bunny\u2019s lyrics.<\/p>\n \u201cOn Bad Bunny \u2014 bad performance at the Super Bowl at halftime \u2014 we\u2019re still investigating this. There\u2019s a lot of information that has come out about the lyrics,\u201d Alford said during his interview<\/a> (via Awful Announcing<\/a>). \u201cI saw the halftime show. I was switching back and forth with the TPUSA halftime show. The lyrics, from what we\u2019ve seen from Bad Bunny, are very disturbing.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t speak fluent Spanish, I know how to ask where the bathroom is. But these lyrics \u2014 if it\u2019s true, what was said on national television \u2014 we have a lot of questions for the entities that broadcast this, and we\u2019ll be talking to Brendan Carr from the FCC about this,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n Republican Congressman Randy Fine claimed in a social media post that Bad Bunny\u2019s performance was \u201cillegal.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cYou can\u2019t say the f-word on live TV,\u201d he wrote.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201c\u2018Bad Bunny\u2019\u2019s disgusting halftime show was illegal. <\/p>\n \u201cHad he said these lyrics — and all of the other disgusting and pornographic filth in English on live TV, the broadcast would have been pulled down and the fines would have been enormous. <\/p>\n \u201cPuerto Ricans are Americans and we all live by the same rules.
