The Las Vegas Raiders made it official by hiring Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak as the team\u2019s new head coach. <\/p>\n
The Raiders reportedly picked Kubiak as the guy<\/a> at the start of February, but they couldn\u2019t officially hire him until after the Seahawks\u2019 Super Bowl run came to an end. On Thursday, Kubiak added a veteran coach to the staff, with former Los Angeles Chargers and Tennessee Titans interim coach Mike McCoy coming to Las Vegas. <\/p>\n The Raiders are hiring Mike McCoy as assistant head coach, per sources. <\/p>\n McCoy, 53, spent four years as the Chargers\u2019 head coach and finished last season as the Titans\u2019 interim coach. An experienced addition to Klint Kubiak\u2019s staff. pic.twitter.com\/2NEccAi4Rc<\/a><\/p>\n \u2014 Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) February 12, 2026<\/a> <\/p>\n McCoy began his coaching career with the Carolina Panthers and was there from 2000 until 2008. <\/p>\n McCoy then spent four seasons with the Denver Broncos as the offensive coordinator before being hired by the then-San Diego Chargers as the head coach in 2013. <\/p>\n McCoy went 27-37 in four seasons as the Chargers head coach<\/a>, with the lone playoff trip coming in his first year. <\/p>\n The Raiders are the third different team McCoy will be working for in the last three seasons. After being fired by the Chargers, McCoy spent 2017 as the Broncos\u2019 OC before having the same role with the Arizona Cardinals in 2018. He then took time away from coaching and was hired as the Jacksonville Jaguars quarterbacks coach from 2022 until 2024. <\/p>\n In 2025, he was a senior offensive assistant with the Titans, but he became the interim coach<\/a> and went 2-9 after Brian Callahan was fired<\/a>. <\/p>\n So, this will be the third different AFC West team McCoy has worked for, and the only one remaining is the Kansas City Chiefs. <\/p>\n The Raiders are holding interviews for the offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator roles, but adding McCoy to the staff brings a lot of experience to the room. <\/p>\n
