PAYTON WILSON TRAINING<\/p>\n
The Steelers defense didn\u2019t have a great 2025 season. While it entered the year with high expectations, it struggled to find its footing until around midseason. It was far from perfect after that, too. Payton Wilson was one player who didn\u2019t necessarily take the leap that some<\/a> might\u2019ve expected. He wasn\u2019t bad, but he still had obvious flaws in his game.<\/p>\n While the Steelers\u2019 season hasn\u2019t been over for very long, Wilson is still working hard to improve himself. Scott Emerson posted videos on Twitter<\/a> showing the linebacker working out. He\u2019s heading into his third NFL season, so hopefully, he can take a bigger step forward.<\/p>\n RAIDERS INTERVIEWING FORMER STEELERS COACH<\/p>\n Mike Tomlin stepping down resulted in most of the Steelers coaching staff changing. While some of them have landed elsewhere, others are still looking for jobs. However, they aren\u2019t the only former Steelers coaches floating around the league. Frisman Jackson was the teams\u2019 wide receivers coach in 2022 and 2023. He was also the Seahawks\u2019 receivers coach last year. Now, he could be getting a new job.<\/p>\n NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero reported on Twitter<\/a> that the Las Vegas Raiders are interviewing Jackson for their offensive coordinator opening. Jackson has never been an NFL offensive coordinator before, but he\u2019s got a lot of experience in the league. New Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak was the Seahawks\u2019 offensive coordinator last year, so he\u2019s familiar with Jackson.<\/p>\n The Raiders are interviewing Seahawks WRs coach Frisman Jackson for their offensive coordinator job, per source.<\/p>\n \u2014 Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) February 12, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n PORTER SR. ON RBS<\/p>\n The NFL was different in the 2000s. Many teams put more of an emphasis on running the ball. Today, the passing game is much more prevalent. The Steelers had one of the best defenses of that era, and they faced plenty good running backs in that time.<\/p>\n Joey Porter Sr. recently reflected on some of those running backs, as shared by Raphael Haynes on Twitter.<\/a> Porter mentions that several of those players weren\u2019t easy to defend against. However, when Porter saw someone run over one of his teammates, that usually fired him up.<\/p>\n
