Hollywood loves a sequel nowadays.<\/p>\n
However, Jim Harbaugh will be hoping his Los Angeles Chargers<\/a> don’t flop in Year 2 like many of the recent movies. The coach’s squad will need some new ideas and a fresh approach after a playoff beatdown left a sour taste at the end of a solid season.<\/p>\n Luckily for them, there’s still plenty of time before the premiere and countless award shows weigh in with their take.<\/p>\n Believe it or not, we’re already entering Justin Herbert’s<\/a> sixth season. It wasn’t long ago that he was the new kid on the block, but now the seasoned veteran has to take the next step in finding some playoff success.<\/p>\n The Chargers<\/a> went ahead and retooled their roster last season with the eye towards making a leap in 2025. Despite that retool, Los Angeles went 11-6 after Harbaugh made his triumphant return to the NFL sidelines.<\/p>\n They’ll want to build on that and have a season that extends a little longer this time around. The\u00a0Broncos\u00a0are entering\u00a0Bo Nix’s<\/a>\u00a0second season and continue to add to an already elite defense. The\u00a0Raiders\u00a0brought in a new regime and proceeded to add\u00a0Geno Smith<\/a>\u00a0along with\u00a0Ashton Jeanty<\/a>\u00a0in the draft, which should represent a major improvement for that offense.<\/p>\n While the rosters steal headlines, there is also the coaching side of things. Harbaugh has to match up against Andy Reid, Sean Payton and Pete Carroll \u2013 who all routinely get the most out of their teams \u2013 for six of the the 17 games.<\/p>\n With no easy wins in the against their direct competitors looming, the Chargers have their work cut out for them, even if they are better this season.<\/p>\n
