As the 2026 NFL free-agency period approaches, one name beginning to swirl in leaguewide rumors is former Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/a> have been mentioned as one of the best potential landing spots. After nine seasons in Cleveland, the 29-year-old playmaker confirmed via social media that he is moving on and will test the open market come March.<\/p>\n Njoku, a physical and versatile tight end who once posted Pro Bowl numbers in 2023, struggled with injuries and reduced production in 2025, finishing the year with 33 receptions for 293 yards and four touchdowns. Over the course of his Browns tenure, he amassed 384 receptions and 34 touchdowns.<\/p>\n While analysts have spotlighted traditional suitors<\/a> like the Atlanta Falcons, Washington Commanders<\/a>, and New York Giants<\/a> for Njoku\u2019s services, the Buccaneers have quietly surfaced as a dark-horse option.
