Garrett Wilson<\/a> has made it clear whether he wants to stay with the New York Jets<\/a> for the long haul.<\/p>\n

Speaking<\/a> with reporters at OTAs in Florham Park<\/a>, N.J., Wilson revealed that he wants to remain in green and white for life, a statement that is music to Jets fans\u2019 ears.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m hopeful that I\u2019m a Jet for life, and that we get this thing rolling, and all of our best days are ahead of us. I don\u2019t know exactly what that looks like, but I\u2019m going to go do my part to make sure that it\u2019s undeniable. When the time does come, and those conversations are being had, I\u2019m going to try and do my part to make sure that it\u2019s undeniable.\u201d said the Ohio State product.<\/p>\n

Wilson is entering his fourth NFL season and is under contract with the Jets for two more years as the team picked up his fifth-year option<\/a> for 2026.<\/p>\n

At just 24 years old, Wilson has already posted three straight 1,000-yard seasons despite working with eight different quarterbacks over that span.<\/p>\n

Since entering the league in 2022, Wilson ranks 10th among NFL receivers in receiving yards (3,249) and seventh in receptions (270), establishing himself as one of the league\u2019s most consistent playmakers.<\/p>\n

The former first-round pick is now poised to reunite with his former Ohio State quarterback, Justin Fields, who joined the Jets<\/a> this offseason on a two-year deal worth up to $40 million, including $30 million guaranteed.<\/p>\n

In late March, SNY\u2019s Connor Hughes reported<\/a> that three league sources believe a potential extension for Wilson would fall in the range of $25 million to $30 million annually.<\/p>\n

With Wilson\u2019s production and reliability regardless of who is under center, the Jets should make his long-term extension a top organizational priority.<\/p>\n
