Look what he did with rookie Josh Allen!! How many times did he win the AFC North?
He could not only turn Cam into a superstar….but elevate the whole Titans team…..and team image….for years to come. Miss Amy and Mr Borgonzi could do a LOT worse……and not much better! Just thoughts from a fan who cares.<\/p>\n

Comment: I must say I like the Titans approach to finding our guy. I think as of right now the top five coaches should be:
(1) Mike McCarthy
(2) Robert Saleh
(3) Joe Brady
(4) Vance Joseph
(5) Mike McDaniel
Mike McCarthy- will bring in a great coaching staff and he’s a winning coach.
Robert Saleh – will bring you a top notch defense and a good offensive coordinator
Joe Brady- is a really good offensive coordinator
Vance Joseph- is well knowning for a top defense every where he goes
Mike McDaniel- is a brilliant offensive coordinator and a great play caller.
If I had to pick it would be between Mike McCarthy or Mike McDaniel.<\/p>\n

If this team hires anybody but Big Mike McCarthy, especially somebody like Matt Nagy, I think they will totally lose the fanbase and nobody wants that to happen. We have a new stadium, exciting young QB in Cam, plenty of Cap, etc. This is our chance to get back on the map and fill the new stadium. That WILL NOT happen with Nagy.
Do you think Borg and crew knows that?

Comment: Howdy Jim, I again will repeat my concerns about the Titans coaching search. I still feel the writing is on the wall . I truly hope I am wrong but I believe the buddy system is in full swing. The Titans aren’t the only team doing this but they are the most obvious about it. I hope the choice is the best coach available but that depends on if the coach is wanting to be here. They should have locked down McCarthy this last weekend, but I feel he wants to be elsewhere. Well we can only support their decision until the next season, winning is all that matters. I wish the next coach all the luck in the world whoever he is. Thanks<\/p>\n

Comment: If the Titans get this coach wrong, is it likely the GM will be gone along with the coach they hire? I would think one of the “Mc’s” is the safest choice for the GM and the most conservative option for the team to improve: “McCarthy, McDermott, or McDaniel.”<\/p>\n

Question: I follow the Tennessee Titans closely.
My wife and I were charter members of the Founder’s Club until last
year when we gave our PSL to our daughter. We have been there
both during the good years and bad ones. Owners have made some
terrible decisions in the last few years. It looks like they are
going to continue down the same path again during this coaching
search. GM Mike Borgonzi has interviewed almost 20 candidates.
After hearing they are not interested in Sean McDermott and not
showing much interest in Mike McCarthy I am convinced that all
these interviews are just window dressing so GM Mike Borgonzi can
say after all these interview his buddy Matt Nagy is the best
possible choice. The Titans need a coach with previous head coaching
experience that has winning percentage close to 63% or greater and
playoff experience. Owner Amy Adams Strunk needs to sit up and
take notice and wonder if GM Mike Borgonzi has the Titans in his
best interest. Some team will probably take Sean Mcdermott quickly
and with him only being 51 years old he still has several good years
ahead of him. WAKE UP TITANS! It appears another horrible decision is
coming your way. Just 2 years ago Mike Vrable was the Titans HC and
look where his team is now! Bad decision after bad decision follows
the Titans. WAKE UP TITANS! You have a new stadium for 2027, will
you be able fill it if you continue to be at the bottom of the
league? WAKE UP TITANS! As said before this opinion is of one person
that has followed football closely for 60+ years.<\/p>\n

Comment: Hi Jim. Jim there is a ton of negativity as you are well aware about the search of a new head coach and I am trying to keep a positive attitude but as each day and hiring passes it is getting difficult to keep good thoughts. I sure hope management thinks enough of their fan base to not hire someone whose previous winning percentage barely cleared 500. I had rather take another swing at a first time head coach with the hope of hitting a home run than to settle for a coach that has had a chance and was mediocre at best. I miss Bum Phillips.<\/p>\n

Comment: Well even though the Titans were the first ones to fire their head coach and need a new one. They are apparently content with doing a ton of interviews and sitting back letting all the good available coaches get hired right out from under them. Maybe it’s true and the quality head coaches simply want to go elsewhere. I hope they don’t apply the same strategy to signing free agents. But it sure wouldn’t surprise me.\ud83d\ude12\ud83d\ude21<\/p>\n

Comment: Hey Jim. As of writing, it’s sounding like we’re on the verge of hiring Matt Nagy. Why does it feel like the whole process has been a sham leading up to this? We’ve been a day late and dollar short 3 times (as of writing) for guys we were intending to talk to and hire, and so now instead of looking at other candidates, we’re settling for the scraps of the process? I’m still hopeful that they take that time and patience they were so keen on through this process and give other candidates that were close at least another look and see if they are better the second time now that they are at the bottom of their finalists list.<\/p>\n

Comment: Have they considered John “Bones” Fassell for head coach? I know it may not be the most high profile hire but he has an immaculate reputation, he’s been an interim coach, he was a huge part of Sean McVay’s championship coaching staff, and he’s obviously a great leader of men. People seem to forget that the “big fish” in this coaching cycle cut his teeth as the special teams coordinator under Andy Reid. Anyway I feel he at least deserves an interview. Comment: Jim thank goodness we are back to undefeated\u2026 How we get to a winning season will definitely depend on finding the right coach that is accountable and holds everyone around him accountable also. I would really like to see Brian Flores get another chance at being a head coach and I think he got a bad shot in Miami. We made a huge mistake losing Coach Vrabel and I think another Defensive Coach that hires the right OC, DC, along with supporting coaches that are creative and passionate will make for a recipe for success. We don’t need drama, negative headlines, we need proper evaluation of our present and future talent including off the field issues. Let’s make this a team everyone wants to play for and a coaching staff that can teach, develop, and improve the players that the GM brings in. Make the right decision to make this a long term success.<\/p>\n
