This was due to Indianapolis making him the first defensive player off the board with the 15th-overall selection in the 2024 NFL draft. <\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-7\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"73\">Latu played more than expected after the 2023 sack leader, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colts.com\/team\/players-roster\/samson-ebukam\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Samson Ebukam<\/a>, didn&#8217;t see the field due to an Achilles tear. Instead of being more situational like Indy had planned, Latu was far more of an every-down player. <\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-8\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"76\">He&#8217;d finish with 4.0 sacks, 32 tackles, and 38 pressures. Latu also showed room for improvement in run defense. Latu led the way in sacks with 8.5, and ranked 15th out of 115 defensive ends in pressures with 61, per Pro Football Focus. <\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-11\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"7f\">Latu also hauled in an impressive three interceptions and added 12 tackles for loss to his second-year numbers, showing improvement as a run defender. <\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Laiatu Latu catches his own deflection to pick off Mahomes on his 1st attempt of the game!<\/p>\n<p>INDvsKC on CBS\/Paramount+<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/HkKw7uXVnt\" rel=\"nofollow\">https:\/\/t.co\/HkKw7uXVnt<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/YNxeu5eHyP\" rel=\"nofollow\">pic.twitter.com\/YNxeu5eHyP<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 NFL (@NFL) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NFL\/status\/1992658486208156084?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">November 23, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-13\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"7l\">If Indianapolis can find a way to get Latu some help, there&#8217;s a real chance that he eclipses 10 sacks and starts to hit a superstar stride in year three. <\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-14\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"7o\">Don&#8217;t expect <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colts.com\/team\/players-roster\/kwity-paye\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kwity Paye<\/a>, Ebukam, or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colts.com\/team\/players-roster\/tyquan-lewis\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tyquan Lewis<\/a> back this year, as each is a free agent and Indianapolis truly needs a reset in the edge room. At first, Bortolini was to be a backup in some capacity to former Colts leader, Ryan Kelly. <\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-20\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"8e\">After Kelly sustained injuries that limited him to 10 games in 2024, Bortolini earned the chance to put his abilities on the gridiron as the starter at center. <\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-21\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"8h\">Bortolini played well given his draft position and circumstances, allowing no sacks and just two QB hits over 351 snaps (211 passing). While this was encouraging, Bortolini took himself through the atmosphere in 2025. <\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-22\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"8k\">He&#8217;d play in 16 games and looked like one of the best centers in football. If he&#8217;s already hitting this type of stride, it&#8217;s hard to tell how high he can rise. <\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-26\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"8w\">Bortolini helped the Colts seamlessly transition from a franchise legend like Kelly to not miss a beat at arguably the most important position on the offensive line. Mandatory Credit: Robert Goddin-Imagn Images | Robert Goddin-Imagn Images<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-29\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"9d\">The inspiration behind this list: Colts tight end<a href=\"https:\/\/www.colts.com\/team\/players-roster\/tyler-warren\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> Tyler Warren <\/a>hit the ground running day one and never looked back in 2025. <\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-30\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"9g\">His debut against the Miami Dolphins in Week 1 showed what was to come. Warren secured seven of nine targets for 78 receiving yards and a blistering 77.8 catch percentage. <\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-31\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"9j\">Warren would continue to be one of the go-to targets for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colts.com\/team\/players-roster\/daniel-jones\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Daniel Jones<\/a> in Shane Steichen&#8217;s offense. While Warren&#8217;s numbers dipped after Jones&#8217; Achilles injury, it&#8217;s understandable, given that 44-year-old <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colts.com\/team\/players-roster\/philip-rivers\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Philip Rivers<\/a> and rookie sixth-rounder <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colts.com\/team\/players-roster\/riley-leonard\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Riley Leonard<\/a> were throwing him the pill. <\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Tyler Warren breaks 3 defenders ankles and turns a minimal gain into 15 yards. Tyler caught 7 passes for 76 yards and rushed for a first down. It\u2019s scary that this is what I expected from him, so I\u2019m not surprised one bit on his instant success. <\/p>\n<p>We Are \ud83e\udd81 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/vkXTDgmNHA\" rel=\"nofollow\">pic.twitter.com\/vkXTDgmNHA<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 White Out Football (@NittanyNatRec) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NittanyNatRec\/status\/1964806867076710716?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">September 7, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-33\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"9p\">Warren finished his debut year with a rookie franchise record of 76 catches, as well as 817 receiving yards and five total scores. <\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-34\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"9s\">The outlook for Warren is the brightest on this list, and with Bortolini and Latu occupying it, that&#8217;s saying something. <\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-35\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"9v\">After earning a Pro Bowl as a rookie, it will be fun to see how Steichen unfolds the incredibly gifted tight end in 2026 to help Indianapolis resume what made the offense unstoppable through the first 10 games. <\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">This here is a microcosm of what Tyler Warren provides to a football team. Had 8 catches for 99 yards but even when his number isn\u2019t called he gives 110<br \/>Percent effort every single rep.
