However, there will be other teams bidding for his services. Los Angeles has close to $100 million in cap space, so keeping him shouldn’t be a problem — by coincidence, one potential suitor would be the Ravens, who now have Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter. Nobody has more cap space than the Titans and landing an elite pass rusher should be high on their list, so bidding could get high if Oweh is deemed the best of the under-30 edge options.

New Ravens head coach Jesse Minter is the one who unlocked Oweh’s potential in LA. Under Minter, Oweh recorded 7.5 sacks, 13 quarterback hits, and 39 pressures in 12 games while setting a Chargers single-game postseason record with three sacks.

Furthermore, defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver was Oweh’s former position coach in Baltimore.

Therefore, the Ravens’ combination of positional need, scheme reunion, and his proven production under Minter makes it a strong possibility for Oweh to return to the franchise that drafted him.

Expert NFL picks: Exclusive betting insights only at USA TODAY.

Los Angeles enters this offseason with $82 million in available cap space, the third most in the NFL.
