He was promoted to tight ends coach in 2022 and has held that title since. In 2025, Fleury served as the 49ers\u2019 run game coordinator in addition to coaching tight ends.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Fleury interviewed for the New England Patriots offensive coordinator position <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patspulpit.com\/2024\/1\/27\/24052699\/brian-fleury-interview-patriots-offensive-coordinator-position-report\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">back in 2024<\/a>. The 49ers\u2019 running game certainly changed this past season, becoming more innovative. The results weren\u2019t what the team wanted, but there\u2019s no doubt the creative angles and approach were evident. In this case, it was noticeable enough to catch Mike Macdonald\u2019s eye.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">It was a sign that Fleury had his hand on the pulse of the ever-evolving offenses in the NFL.
