On Monday, Feb. 9, the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders director, 61, posted an Instagram<\/a> video sharing the health update with her followers.<\/p>\n \u201cWell, good morning. My grandmother, grandma Polly, has always told me not to talk about health with people. But I’m compelled to \u2026\u201d she began.<\/p>\n Finglass explained that she\u2019s been getting cosmetic treatments at a Texas clinic, which requires her to undergo several skin checks beforehand. She\u2019s been documenting her journey on social media and wanted to be transparent about the biopsy she recently had ahead of treatment.<\/p>\n \u201cI got some good news and some bad news,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n The PEOPLE Puzzler crossword is here! Play now<\/a>!<\/p>\n Finglass, who stars in the 2023 Netflix docuseries America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders<\/a>, shared that she had five spots checked on her body. All of them came back clear, except for one spot on her forehead.<\/p>\n \u201cThe left forehead, that\u2019s the one that sucks. This little guy right here,\u201d she said, pointing to the spot. \u201cThis one is squamous cell carcinoma, so I get to schedule a Mohs micrographic surgery. Regardless, she\u2019s thankful that her doctors caught the cancer early and she\u2019s only sharing her diagnosis so others can stay on top of their health.<\/p>\n \u201cIf you guys don\u2019t take skin checks seriously, maybe I\u2019m a good example of why you should because I never saw this,\u201d she said, noting how \u201ctiny\u201d the problematic spot on her forehead was.<\/p>\n In the caption, Finglass\u2019 dermatologist, Dr. Allison Singer, said that her case is exactly why regular skin checks matter.<\/p>\n \u201cEarly detection makes all the difference \u2014 and this is your reminder that skin health always comes first. \ud83d\udc95\u201d she wrote. \u201cThankful for thorough care, proactive screening, and having these conversations out loud.
