The Pittsburgh Steelers are set up for the future with a youthful offensive line. That front got a little younger in Pro Football Focus\u2019 most recent 2026 NFL Draft mock-up.<\/p>\n

PFF\u2019s Gordon McGuinness had Mike McCarthy\u2019s team taking Alabama offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor with the No. 21 overall pick.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe dream scenario for the Steelers is that one of the top four wide receivers falls to this pick,\u201d McGuinness wrote<\/a> Monday. \u201cThat is a pipe dream in this mock, so they instead turn to the offensive line. Proctor is coming off his most productive season, resulting in an 86.1 PFF overall grade and 80.0-plus PFF grades in pass protection and run blocking.\u201d<\/p>\n

Proctor\u2019s NFL.com prospect report<\/a> lists him at 6-foot-7 and 366 pounds. Analyst Lance Zierlein describes Proctor as \u201ca mass of humanity with rare size and length at his command. He\u2019s capable as a move blocker but shines when rolling downhill as a bona-fide people mover with bulldozing power.\u201d<\/p>\n

Proctor has a 6.45 prospect grade, which means he will become a good starter within two years. Proctor could slot in as Broderick Jones\u2019 replacement or move over to guard, which could be a position of need with Isaac Seumalo becoming a free agent.<\/p>\n

Proctor, who played in 40 games for the Crimson Tide, was the second offensive lineman taken off the board, after Miami (FL)\u2019s Francis Mauigoa (No. 10, Cincinnati Bengals). <\/p>\n

Penn State guard Olaivavega Ioane (No. 22, Los Angeles Chargers), Utah\u2019s Spencer Fano (No. 23, Philadelphia Eagles) and Caleb Lomu (No. 28, Houston Texans), Georgia tackle Monroe Freeling (No. 24, Cleveland Browns) and Oregon guard Emmanuel Pregnon (No. 31, New England Patriots) followed.<\/p>\n

The Steelers have used first-round draft picks on offensive tackle Troy Fautanu (No. 20, 2024) and Jones (No. 14, 2023) in recent years.<\/p>\n
