Years of speculation about the Philadelphia Eagles trading star wide receiver A.J. Brown haven\u2019t culminated in anything except rumors, but could this finally be the offseason where it finally happens?<\/p>\n

The Denver Broncos<\/a> are in need of another offensive playmaker after a disappointing end to the 2025 season saw the team put up just 181 yards<\/a> in the American Football Conference Championship with a Super Bowl trip on the line. Could Brown be a fit for the Broncos if the Eagles finally decide they\u2019ve had enough?<\/p>\n

ESPN\u2019s Bill Barnwell believes so, stating Brown would be \u201cthe wideout of Bo Nix\u2019s and Sean Payton\u2019s dreams.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNix’s accuracy issues downfield would be mitigated by Brown’s size, catch radius and ability to win on contested-catch opportunities,\u201d Barnwell wrote<\/a> Monday. \u201cPayton has unlocked massive seasons from bigger wide receivers such as Marques Colston and Michael Thomas. Brown could be that player for Nix while pushing Courtland Sutton into a second wideout role.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brown has consistently been a top receiver in the National Football League since he debuted in 2019 with the Tennessee Titans. He has hit the 1,000-yard mark in every season except his third and final one with the Titans, averaging 85 receptions and 1,300 yards over a full 17-game season.<\/p>\n

The three-time All-Pro and Pro Bowler is always posting cryptic messages on social media and seemingly putting himself in trade rumors, and the end of the 2025 season could have been the final nail in the coffin. A back-and-forth with Head Coach Nick Sirianni and multiple dropped passes in their wild card loss to the San Francisco 49ers could be enough to negotiate offers with teams.<\/p>\n

Barnwell proposed a deal that would have the Eagles send Brown and a 2026 fifth-round pick to the Broncos in exchange for cornerback Riley Moss, a 2026 second-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick.<\/p>\n

Denver\u2019s defense is among the best in the league and would still be a strong unit without Moss. Barnwell wrote that despite giving up a lot of yards due to the sheer number of targets against, Moss had an 88.2 passer rating allowed with an above-average missed tackle rate.<\/p>\n

According to<\/a> Pro Football Focus (PFF), Moss was first among CBs in pass breakups (15), second in solo tackles (71) and seventh in stops (26). He\u2019s going to give up receptions, but he is still one of the more skilled and dynamic players at the position and would be an upgrade for the Eagles.<\/p>\n

With Moss\u2019s contract up at the end of next season and other skilled corners on the roster, the Broncos are probably willing to let Moss go in a trade that makes them better.<\/p>\n
