Jansen is returning for an 18th season with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/nfl\/carolina-panthers-team\" class=\"entity\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Carolina Panthers<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ff-h fs-16 lh-1pt6 mg-b-15 article-content\" use-external-image=\"true\" data-v-d04fc069=\"\">The long snapper signed a one-year contract on Tuesday with an eye toward extending his franchise record of 277 games played.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ff-h fs-16 lh-1pt6 mg-b-15 article-content\" use-external-image=\"true\" data-v-d04fc069=\"\">Jansen, who turned 40 in January, is 27th in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/nfl\" class=\"entity\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NFL<\/a> in games played. He can move into the top 20 in league history if he plays all 17 games next season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ff-h fs-16 lh-1pt6 mg-b-15 article-content\" use-external-image=\"true\" data-v-d04fc069=\"\">The only active players with more games played are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/nfl\/denver-broncos-team\" class=\"entity\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Denver Broncos<\/a> tight end <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/nfl\/marcedes-lewis-player\" class=\"entity\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Marcedes Lewis<\/a> (290) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/nfl\/arizona-cardinals-team\" class=\"entity\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Arizona Cardinals<\/a> defensive end <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/nfl\/calais-campbell-player\" class=\"entity\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Calais Campbell<\/a> (278).<\/p>\n<p class=\"ff-h fs-16 lh-1pt6 mg-b-15 article-content\" use-external-image=\"true\" data-v-d04fc069=\"\">Jansen has never missed a game due to injury since being acquired by the Panthers in a trade with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/nfl\/green-bay-packers-team\" class=\"entity\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Green Bay Packers<\/a> in 2009 and has been remarkably consistent through the years.
