The Indians lit up the scoreboard averaging 301 passing yards per game, 234 on the ground.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am incredibly excited for this opportunity to join Hippo Nation,\u201d Walraven said in a statement. \u201cFirst, I want to thank (Hutto superintendent (Jeni) Ms. Neatherlin and (athletic director Will) Compton for putting their trust in me to lead the next era of Hutto Football. This program is full of potential, and I can\u2019t wait to see what we can accomplish together at the highest level of Texas high school football.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Walraven replaces <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statesman.com\/sports\/high-school\/football\/article\/eli-reinhart-hutto-hippos-resign-coach-college-21312250.php\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Eli Reinhart<\/a>, who left the program last month to become the offensive coordinator at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Mich. Walraven found success at Alvarado, leading his team to a 37-13 in four seasons.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCoach Walraven is a seasoned veteran of the Texas coaching ranks with a strong history of building winning programs,\u201d\u00a0Neatherlin said. \u201cI am confident his commitment to excellence will continue our momentum on the football field and throughout our athletic programs, as well as in the classroom, and in the community. We\u2019re excited to welcome him to Hippo Nation.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Before he arrived in Alvarado, his alma mater, for the 2002 season, Walraven was the head coach at Cleburne from 2017-22) and Grandview (2012-16).
