After his best season so far in his three-year NFL career, Detroit Lions<\/a> star linebacker Jack Campbell and his wife announced on Sunday, Feb. 15, that they are expecting their first child.<\/p>\n In an Instagram post on Sunday, the 2023 first-round selection out of Iowa<\/a> and his wife, Megan, revealed the expected family addition.<\/p>\n \u201chalf of me + half of you!!!\u201d the caption of Megan and Jack Campbell\u2019s collaborative post read. \u201cThank you, Lord, for this sweet gift.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n This past season, the former Hawkeye star led the Lions<\/a> with 176 tackles (89 solo, 87 assisted), which ranked as the second-most in the league behind Miami Dolphins<\/a> linebacker Jordyn Brooks. Campbell also recorded five sacks, four passes defended, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.<\/p>\n The two married in 2024 after meeting as athletes at the University of Iowa.
