After going just 7-10 in 2025, the Miami Dolphins<\/a> have undergone several major changes. Along with hiring head coach Jeff Hafley and general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan, the team opted to release wide receiver Tyreek Hill<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Over the past four seasons in Miami, he racked up 340 receptions<\/a> for 4,733 yards, 27 touchdowns and two Pro Bowl appearances. However, he appeared in only four games last year after suffering a torn ACL.<\/p>\n

While releasing Hill saved Miami nearly $23 million<\/a>, it leaves a hole at wide receiver. He’ll be 32 years old when next season begins and is expected to be a solid contributor for whichever team signs him.<\/p>\n

To fill the gap that Hill leaves, Pro Football Focus’ Gordon McGuinness predicts<\/a> that the Dolphins will select Arizona State Sun Devils wide receiver Jordyn Tyson with the 11th pick in the 2026 NFL<\/a> Draft.<\/p>\n

“The Dolphins are releasing\u00a0Tyreek Hill, and\u00a0Jaylen Waddle\u00a0has been the subject of trade rumors over the past year,” McGuinness wrote. “Even if Waddle sticks around, this is a good opportunity for the Dolphins to secure another top receiving talent. Tyson earned an 89.0 PFF overall grade against man coverage and averaged 2.37 yards per route run in 2025.”<\/p>\n

Over the past four seasons, Tyson had hauled in 158 receptions<\/a> for 2,282 yards and 22 touchdowns. He put together a productive stat line for the Sun Devils in 2025 with 61 receptions, 711 yards and eight touchdowns. At 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds, Tyson also has solid size for an NFL receiver.<\/p>\n

The Dolphins are in desperate need of another reliable wide receiver outside of Waddle. Selecting him at that spot wouldn’t be considered a reach either. ESPN<\/a> lists Tyson as the ninth-best player available in the draft.<\/p>\n
