If the Chiefs want to leave for Kansas, they should do so right away, at least according to one member of the Missouri House of Representatives.<\/p>\n

Missouri House Speaker Pro\u2011Tem Chad Perkins would tell the NFL franchise to \u201cget out\u201d if he had the power to after the team announced plans to build a new stadium in Wyandotte County, Kan<\/a>., and leave their longtime home at Arrowhead Stadium.<\/p>\n

The decision to leave Missouri for the Sunflower State<\/a> has not sat well with some of the team\u2019s fans, and clearly is not one that Perkins is happy about, with the representative proposing a bill that would end the state\u2019s emblem agreement with the Chiefs and do away with the Chiefs-branded license plates produced by Missouri.<\/p>\n

And if he could, he would do away with the Chiefs altogether after their act of treason after playing in Missouri for 63 years.<\/p>\n

\u201cArrowhead Stadium\u2019s not owned by the Chiefs, it\u2019s owned by the Jackson County Sports Authority,\u201d Perkins told Missourinet<\/a>. \u201cIf I were the Jackson County Sports Authority, I\u2019d tell him, get out right now. Just get your stuff and get out now. Go play football at a high school field in Overland Park. I don\u2019t care. Get out. And you can sue me and we can go to court, and I think a Missouri jury might just agree with me right now, right?\u201d<\/p>\n

The Chiefs aren\u2019t slated to leave Missouri just yet.<\/p>\n

The move to Kansas wouldn\u2019t be until 2031, but ownership and members of the Kansas government announced the deal to build a state-of-the-art domed stadium in Wyandotte County in December.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I\u2019ve given you everything you ask and treated you like a little princess and you leave anyway, then maybe I need to take a different tactic,\u201d a jilted Perkins told the outlet.<\/p>\n

Chiefs superstar Travis Kelce addressed the stadium situation<\/a> on a recent episode of his \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast that he co-hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce.<\/p>\n

Kelce walked the line between excitement and understanding the disappointment of seeing the Chiefs leave for another state.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s going to be unbelievable once it\u2019s finally set in stone,\u201d Kelce said. \u201cBut it is going to be kind of heartbreaking knowing that the Chiefs are going to move away from Arrowhead and that Missouri side of Kansas City.
